How to Guarantee a Shiny Gible in Pokémon Legends: Z-A
« -: Декември 03, 2025, 08:55:29 am »
If you're an avid Pokemon Legends: Z-A player, chances are you've experienced the thrill (and frustration) of shiny hunting. Among the most elusive of Pokemon, Gible has long been a target for players seeking to add this rare shiny to their collection. Fortunately, the recent 1.0.3 update has made shiny hunting for Gible much easier—whether you're playing on a Switch 1 or Switch 2.

In this guide, we will walk through the most efficient way to guarantee a shiny Gible, leveraging a method that has become highly popular in the community. Whether you're a seasoned shiny hunter or new to the process, this strategy will help you secure your shiny Gible in no time!

Understanding the Shiny Hunt Challenge

Before the update, hunting for shiny Gible in Wild Zone 8 was considered one of the most challenging tasks in Pokemon Legends: Z-A. The reason? Gible spawned infrequently, often buried in dirt mounds, while other Pokemon like Drillbur and Numel were more common. This made the odds of finding a shiny Gible a real test of patience.

Additionally, players using a Switch 2 faced even more difficulty, as their strategies differed significantly from those using a Switch 1. However, with the latest update, both consoles now support the same strategy, making the process far more accessible.

The New Shiny Gible Hunt Method

The core of this shiny hunting strategy involves setting up your Wild Zone 8 to spawn six dirt mounds, with three guaranteed to contain Gible. Here's how to do it:

Step 1: Set Up a Fresh Day

First, ensure that you’re starting with a new in-game day. Head over to any bench in Lumios and cycle to a fresh day. This is crucial because we need a full 16-minute cycle to set up the hunt, and interruptions can mess up the process. So, make sure you start the day fresh!

Step 2: Go to Wild Zone 8

Next, head straight over to Wild Zone 8. The area contains dirt mounds, where you’ll find Pokemon spawns, including Gible. At the start, you’ll notice there are only three dirt mounds that we care about, and they will either have Drillbur or Gible.

Step 3: Clear Overworld Spawns

Before you begin the actual setup, it’s important to clear any other Pokemon in the area. This will make moving the Drillbur to specific locations easier, without other distractions.

Step 4: Move the Pokemon

Now, you need to move the Drillbur from the dirt mounds to specific locations. The goal is to create six dirt mounds—three in the upper right area of the zone and three on the left. Each of these six mounds will spawn Pokemon, and ideally, three of them will contain Gible.

To do this:

Move the Pokemon from the dirt mounds one by one to the gate area.

Once the Pokemon are in place, save your progress and restart the game.

After the reboot, check to make sure the Pokemon are still where you left them.

Step 5: Adjusting Your Position

The key here is to move 65 meters away from the Pokemon you’ve placed by the gate. Once you've done this, save again, reboot, and head back to check for the six dirt mounds. Ideally, you should now see the three Drillbur you moved, along with three additional holes where Gible can spawn.

Step 6: Fast Travel for Shiny Spawns

Once you’ve set everything up, you’re almost there. Now, all you need to do is fast travel back to the Wild Zone entrance repeatedly. Each time you fast travel, the Gible and Drillbur will despawn and respawn, giving you a high chance of encountering a shiny Gible. With the Shiny Charm, your odds of encountering a shiny Gible are much better, around 1 in 1,024.

Tips for Faster Success

Use the Shiny Charm: If you’ve already obtained the Shiny Charm, your chances of encountering a shiny Gible improve significantly.

Patience is Key: While you may not get a shiny Gible immediately, with persistence, you’ll increase your chances exponentially. It’s a good idea to let the setup run for a while and come back to check.

Clearing Overworld Spawns: If you’re having trouble, try clearing all the overworld Pokemon in the area to minimize distractions and make the process smoother.

Why This Method Works So Well

With this new strategy, obtaining a shiny Gible has never been easier. What was once a frustratingly low-chance hunt is now a process that can be set up quickly and efficiently. By following the steps outlined above, you'll increase your odds of getting a shiny Gible without wasting time.

The method works across both Switch 1 and Switch 2, meaning all players can now access this simplified strategy. Remember to be patient and take advantage of the fast travel feature to maximize your shiny hunting efforts.
